Specialist Projects
2006 Designed two self-contained Access databases to help students learn new vocabulary and grammatical structures.
2001 Set up an internet web site with course and student
resources including links to other sites with English practice exercises and
teachers' materials.
1998 Started a video club and English library for students to be able to borrow a range of books and videos suitable for various levels.
1997 Produced course aimed at improving presentation and interview skills. Started a monthly newsletter for students.
1996 Developed a distance learning telephone English course for executives.
1995 Designed and authored a computer self access system for learners of English. The system comprises 590 exercises divided into three levels and three
skills areas (1. Grammar, 2. Vocabulary, 3. Reading). Indexed through an Access database.
1991 Set up an administrative database giving access to all student test results.
1990 Designed and taught an Introduction to Computers and Introduction to Microsoft Word course for students.
1989 Ran workshops for language teachers on word processing and Computer Assisted Learning.
