Plant : differs from var. sparsiflora in its very short scape,
only reaching the sheaths, and covered by the bracts.
Typus
: Brazil, Espírito Santo State, Castelo, collected by
Luiz K. Correia de Araujo, nº 52, Roberto Menescal and Renato Bello, on the
26th February 1983. Holotypus at
the Herbarium Bradeanum HB.

Comments : we do not have these plants in cultivation, but we are adding color photos of var. sparsiflora and breviscapa for comparison .
