birthday!
I wish Juliana Caetano a happy birthday for the 12th of February. The same goes for Fernanda and Maira, whose birthdays are on the 14th and 28th of March and Isabel, who celebrates her birthday on the 8th of April.
Holidays
Viv will not be working from the 17th to the 23rd of February due to the Carnival holiday. He will also not be working during the Easter holiday (6th - 9th of April). May the first this year falls on a Tuesday, and Viv won't be teaching on this day.
Cost of
classes
Once a year Viv has to adjust the price he charges for classes due to the increase in the cost of living over the previous year. From February, he will be charging (contact Viv for current cost of classes). If you are a student who has started a course or increased your class time in the last three months, the new price will only come into effect in May.
Course
news
Don't forget that according to Viv's conditions for classes you can only cancel up to 20% of the programmed classes for any month in advance free of charge. If you think that you will have to cancel a lot of classes in any particular month, it might be best to cancel classes completely for that month, then Viv will be able to offer your time to other students. However, if you have to do this too often, it might be better to terminate your course completely because if you can't study regularly, you will be unlikely to be complete a level in two years, and as a result will not be successful in improving your English. What's new
on the web?
Viv's web site no longer has any advertisements on it. This makes navigation much easier and the site 'cleaner'. Since Viv started using the current statistics counter there have been over 8,500 visitors to his site, and as there were over two thousand visits with the previous counter, it means that there have been over 10,000 visitors!
Student of
the month
Viv's first student of the month in 2007 is Magda Medeiros. Magda started classes in March 2005 and the improvement in her English, especially her pronunciation, has been notable. She is also the only one of Viv's students who has managed to continue learning English after having a baby. Well done!!!
