When I visit London I always go to the cinema, especially to those in Leicester Square. Last time I was there I saw a very interesting film; Absolute Power starring Clint Eastwood. This film tells the story of a very intelligent robber, called John, played by him.
At the beginning of the film, we saw John entering a mansion. He switched off all the alarms and broke into it. After finding the place where all the jewels and money were, he heard that the owner of the mansion was arriving and quickly hid himself in the owner's bedroom.
When the owner arrived, he and his wife went into his room. As he was very drunk, he started to quarrel with his wife. Suddenly, they started to fight and he killed her by accident. John saw everything and recognised that the owner of the mansion was the President of the United States. Nobody had seen him.
The President, helped by his assistants, ran away from his house and pretended that his wife had been killed by a robber. At that time, he didn't know that there had been a robber in his house. John was able to escape and took all the money and jewels with him.
For a long time, all the newspaper headlines were about the murder. Both the FBI and the CIA were looking for the robber. At the same time, John was spending his time thinking about what to do. If he had gone to the police, he would have been caught. But the President had killed his wife!
Finally, the police found out that John was the robber. What they didn't know was that he was not the killer!
At the end, as John was very smart, he escaped to Central America after leaving lots of clues for the police, saying that the killer was the President.
